Vintage luxurious jewels are the rage this season, why not introduce yourself if you are not already obsessed with vintage and antique pieces. See the one-of-a-kind, as is the Cartier Art Deco diamond and cognac citrine necklace from 1934 that Chloe Sevigny recently wore to the opening of Kentshire Gallery on Madison Avenue.  Comprised of 15 square citrines, surrounded by round diamonds and flanked by citrine baguettes. After several years in her San Francisco location, Lotta Jansdotter the groovy Swedish textile designer has set up shop in Brooklyn. Stop by to say hello and scoop up some of Lotta's charming designs printed on linen aprons, handbags, table linens,  and ceramics. You won't leave her shop empty-handed.

Lotta Jansdotter one of our  favorite textile designers has opened the doors to her studio to the public. The studio will be open most Saturdays from 12 - 4.

Annual Meat Packing District Trunk Show Weekend

Thursday, October 20th – Monday, October 24th

All weekend the Meatpacking District will be a-buzz neighborhood with an magnificent four-day event toasting wonderful women, wine, and fantastic shopping.  Nineteen designers and boutiques will welcome their loyal clientele and members of the community to view their latest collections.

The third annual MPD Fall Trunk Shows will feature Holiday 2005 or Spring 2006 collections from stores that include Alexander McQueen, Diane Von Furstenberg, Lucy Barnes, La Perla and Girlshop, among others. The four day event begins with a kick-off party at One Little West 12th Street at 7 pm.

“Our area is a unique blend of one-off boutiques founded by an eclectic bunch of retailing pioneers, and flagship shops from major designers," said David Rabin, president of the Meatpacking District Initiative. "By joining forces for the fall Trunk Shows, the Meatpacking District's stores give shoppers 'one-stop' to see what is new for holiday and spring.  All are encouraged to stay in the neighborhood for a cocktail or dinner in, what some deem, New York's only functioning 24-hour Neighborhood.”
